Over the past thirty years he has traveled throughout the world working with thousands of clients in virtually all industry groups both in the private and public sectors helping them improve their results at face to face events. He has been a featured speaker at Brazil’s ExpoSystems each year since the conference’s inception where Barry and I met and were speakers at the last year´s  event.

Barry is an active member of many associations. He sits on the Board of Directors of The Center for Exhibitor and Event Marketing (ICEEM) and chairs the research committee for the Center for Exhibition Industry Research.

He is the author of seven best-selling books including Powerful Exhibit Marketing and has also written over 500 original trade articles and industry reports as well as a Guru series for the Centre for Exhibition Industry Research. Barry’s syndicated column appears in 50 publications worldwide.

Patricio is Mexican, a Mechanical Electrical Engineer from ITESM, Monterrey, Mexico with a Master Degree in International Business from OneMBA . He is also Founder- Consulting House Mexico and member of the Business Affairs Committee Amcham Campinas.

His past experience includes serving as President of MABE Mercosul, a division of MABE (México), the largest home appliances company in Latin America, and partner with GE Appliances of the USA.  He was responsible for Brazil and Argentina markets, 8 factories and 5,000 employees, with revenues of $1.1 US Billion in 2010 and based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Patricio started working for Mabe in 1989, accumulating 21 years of experience, including:

                Commercial Director for México,

                Strategic Projects Director for the President,

                Factory General Manager 

                Marketing, Productivity and Purchasing Management Positions

He began his professional career in 1985 at IBM and later at HP in the supplier development area.

In 1993 Patricio founded GCM Consulting Group focused on helping USA companies locate in México, and later started GCM Brazil in 2010 in order to help foreign companies do business in Brazil.

Patricio Mendizabal is President and Founder of Consulting House Mexico; a relationship consultancy firm affiliated to Consulting House Brazil and was President of the Mexican Chamber, the chamber for Mexican Companies in Brazil (2009-2011)

Guilherme da Nobrega, Partner at Guaeca Consulting in Brazil has been analyzing and explaining Brazil to investors for twenty years in a career that took him to meetings and speaking engagements in 35 countries around the world.

In the 1990s, Guilherme da Nobrega was a co-founder of Tendencias, one of the country’s leading independent macro consulting firm. Later, as a financial market economist, he advised institutional investors, treasuries, corporate clients and investment funds, both at home and abroad. He spent eight years at Banco Itau, the Brazilian banking conglomerate before returning to a career in consulting. 

Guilherme and I met recently at Amcham Campinas in our Business Affairs Committee where he shared his insights on the tendencies in the Brazilian economy with group members.

Guilherme holds a degree from the London School of Economics and pursued graduate studies at Rio’s Catholic University.
